DEVIN MORAN 2 FOR 2 IN HILLTOP LATE MODELS

(Millersburg, Ohio) Another night of temps in the low 40’s but the racing kept the fans warmed up on the second night of race action at Hilltop Speedway. The only thing Dresden’s Devin Moran didn’t do this week was to be fast qualifier but other than that he won his heat and lead all 25 laps aboard the Custom Cutters, Eddie’s Sunoco, and Donnie Moran Driving School #99m for his second win of the season in the Holmes Tire Late Models.

It was a little more challenging this week for Moran as the leading all time feature winner at Hilltop, and heat winner, Doug Drown, would start on the pole and the two would go side by side the first couple of laps before Moran would build up a half of straight away lead as last seasons track champ, Steve Prince and fast qualifier George Lee along with Charlie Duncan battled for third.

With ten laps to go, Drown’s tires warmed up to the racing surface and began closing in on the race leader as Lee took control of third. As the white flag flew, Drown had closed to two car lengths behind Moran and Duncan slipped past Prince for fourth and at the finish line would cross in that order.
